This Banana-Pecan Oatmeal Recipe is the easiest ever! You don’t need pans, heat or oven. You only need a glass jar (or another container with lid), a fridge and the ingredients. Yeap!
It is a good choice for those who always wake up in a rush. If you are the kind of person that needs a quick breakfast … but wanna keep this meal healthy, this your recipe! The night before you’re gonna prepare quickly your breakfast for the next day … and in the morning it will be ready for you just “grab and go”. Easy, simple, delicious and full of good nutrients you need for a great day.
Actually, I am the kind of person that loves seating at the table in the morning, take a cup of coffee with toasts and fruits, chat with my husband and watch the news. That’s why I’ve eaten this oatmeal as afternoon snack, before gym :).
serve 1 13 oz jar
Banana-Pecan Oatmeal Recipe – Ingredients:
1/2 cup oatmeal (I’ve chosen the gluten-free Bob’s Red Mill)
1/3 cup skinny milk
1/4 cup fat free Greek yogurt
1/4 cup apple sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 packet Stevia sweetener
1/4 sliced banana
1 tablespoon diced pecans
Banana-Pecan Oatmeal Recipe – How to prepare:
As I said before, the preparation is super easy. You just have to layer the first 7 ingredients and then mix it together, until truly combined.
Now you can add sliced bananas, diced pecans and stir gently until combined. Put the lid on the jar and place it in fridge overnight (up to 2 days). Its gonna taste so good!
Tip: this oatmeal version is thick. If you prefer it a little bit more fluid, you can reduce the oat quantity. You can also create new versions … add cocoa, honey, use different fruits, etc. It is super versatile!
This looks so good, tasty and healthy. Makes me hungry just reading your blog article on it. You always have such health-conscious and clever recipes.
I’m glad you like it, James! Thanks, Camila
